Where do you operate?
BGT Yacht operates throughout Saint Martin and Sint Maarten, on the French and Dutch sides, in marinas, alongside or at anchor depending on access conditions.
Do you come directly to the boat?
Yes. Our service is mobile and the work is organised directly at the boat. Please provide its exact location when making your request.
Is the quote free?
Yes. We first define your requirements, then prepare a free quote before work begins. It specifies the scope and any special terms.
How does a service visit work?
It follows four steps: initial contact and boat details, a free quote, mobile onboard service, then a report and follow-up on the work completed.
Do you assist with buying and selling boats?
Yes. Our brokerage service covers new and pre-owned boats and yachts: valuation, market presentation, introductions and follow-up throughout the transaction.
Can you work on a visiting yacht?
Yes. Provide your arrival and departure dates, marina or anchorage, and the nature of the request so we can organise the work.
What should I do in a technical emergency?
Send us the boat type, location, system concerned, level of urgency and your availability. Priority is given to getting you operational again, subject to the situation and service possibilities.
Terms & conditions
A clear framework for every assignment.
These provisions summarise the principal terms applicable to BGT Yacht technical and brokerage services. The quote specifies the scope, materials, timeframes, deposit and any special conditions.
The contractual version of the terms and conditions accompanies the quote. In the event of any discrepancy, the special conditions stated and accepted in the quote prevail.
Order acceptance
Signing the quote, including electronically, constitutes a firm order and acceptance of the terms and conditions. Any service or supply not included requires additional approval before being carried out.
Deposit on order
A deposit of between 30% and 50% of the quoted amount is required depending on the assignment, parts to be ordered and resources needed. The order becomes effective upon receipt of the deposit.
Balance and release
The balance is payable upon completion and, in all cases, before the boat, keys or entrusted equipment are returned or the final report is delivered.
Late payment
Any amount unpaid when due incurs, without prior notice, the penalties stated in the quote or invoice, within the limits of applicable law. Reasonable recovery costs may also be claimed.
Liability
BGT Yacht’s liability is limited to direct damage resulting from proven negligence within the scope of the assignment. Pre-existing defects, normal wear, indirect damage and loss of use of the boat are excluded.
Client insurance
The client must maintain valid insurance throughout the assignment covering the boat, its equipment and third-party liability. Proof of insurance may be requested before access or work on board.
Access and information
The client guarantees authorisation to carry out the work, safe access to the boat and the accuracy of the information provided. Any waiting time, travel or additional operation is subject to approval.
Force majeure & hurricanes
In the event of a hurricane, dangerous weather, marina closure, access restrictions or any event beyond its control, BGT Yacht may postpone the assignment without compensation. Services performed and costs already incurred remain payable.
Cancellation policy
More than 48 hours before the appointment
Costs already incurred, preparatory travel and special, non-cancellable or non-returnable parts remain payable. The handling of any remaining deposit balance is specified in the quote.
Less than 48 hours before the appointment
The deposit is retained to cover the reserved time slot, mobilisation and incurred costs, in addition to any specially ordered parts.
After the assignment has begun
The deposit remains non-refundable. Work completed, travel undertaken, parts used or ordered and costs incurred beyond the deposit remain payable.

Purposes and legal basis: this data is used solely to respond to your quote request, prepare the work and, if you proceed, carry out the service and the invoicing. Legal basis: pre-contractual measures taken at your request and performance of the contract; legal obligations for accounting documents.
Recipients: BGT Yacht only. No data is sold or transferred to third parties for commercial purposes.
Retention period: quote requests with no follow-up: 3 years from the last contact. Quotes, invoices and accounting documents: 10 years, in accordance with legal obligations.
Your rights: you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability over your data. To exercise them, write to info@bgt-yacht.com; you will receive a reply within one month. You may lodge a complaint with the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
